Local sports enthusiasts - including soccer, cricket and rugby players and their supporters - will be among those to benefit from a new amenities building soon to be built in Nolan Reserve, North Manly.

Northern Beaches Mayor Michal Regan said Council will be replacing outdated existing facilities with a new 300-square-metre single-storey amenities building on the Reserve.

“In consultation with regular Nolan Reserve user groups, Council identified the need for a new building to accommodate improved facilities, accessibility and storage capacity to provide a standard of service consistent with community expectations.

“The existing middle and south amenities buildings adjacent the bitumen court will be demolished, replacing them with a new multi-user sports amenity building.

“The new $2 million purpose-designed building will be complete with changing rooms, a canteen; male, female and accessible public amenities and new spectator seating areas.”

“The build also features improved accessibility to help ensure that everyone can enjoy the new facility.” Mayor Michael Regan said.

The construction works on site will be carried out between July and February 2019. While underway, temporary on-site amenities will be provided for patrons.
