The breathtaking 10km coastal trail known by locals as the Spit to Manly walk has been recognised as one of the leading attractions in the world by Tripadvisor as part of their 2023 Travellers’ Choice Awards.
The coveted award celebrates businesses and attractions that have consistently received great traveller reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.
Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said the accolade is fantastic.
“What locals and visitors already knew has now been confirmed – the Manly Scenic Walkway is unquestionably a walker’s paradise and one of Sydney’s leading visitor attractions”.
“Outside of COVID, 2.6 million people visit the Northern Beaches each year and a huge percentage of them include the harbourside 10-kilometre walk on their itineraries as a must-do when visiting the area.”
“One of the few urban coastal walks in the world which is part of the famed 80km Bondi to Manly trek, the Manly Scenic Walkway traverses through bushland, beaches, majestic viewpoints and even Aboriginal rock engravings. This is a favourite walk for locals and not to be missed by tourists,” Mayor Heins said.
