Council wants to hear from the community about creating a place plan for Mona Vale.

The Mona Vale Place Plan will set a vision for the area and prioritise improvements in and around Mona Vale town centre over the next 10 years.

There will be many ways for the community to be involved. The first opportunity is this weekend at pop up sessions on Saturday (12 March) from 9am to 11am at 19 Bungan Street or 12pm to 2pm outside Mona Vale Memorial Hall.

Community members are also invited to attend a drop-in session at Mona Vale Memorial Hall on Saturday 2 April, from 10am to 1pm.

An online survey will also be open from Wednesday 23 March to Friday 22 April.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to get involved and have your say on what improvements you would like to see in Mona Vale,” Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan said.

“It’s a moment to share with us what you love about the Mona Vale town centre and surrounding areas, what you’d like to improve and how you want it to look in the future.”

To help guide the preparation of the place plan, Council appointed a project working group in February. The working group is made up of members of the community, including residents and representatives from local groups and community organisations in the area, who will work closely with Council throughout the development of the place plan.

The Mona Vale Place Plan will help deliver a set of priorities and directions set out in our local strategic planning statement Towards 2040. It will consider how traffic; the public domain and open spaces can be improved to meet those priorities.
