Direct from sold-out seasons at the Sydney Opera House, Queensland Performing Arts Centre and in New Zealand, Roald Dahl’s family favourite George’s Marvellous Medicine arrives at Glen Street Theatre, Belrose for a strictly-limited season from Wed 25 - Sat 28 July.
In a spectacular, critically-acclaimed live show by the award-winning shake & stir theatre co, get set for a show packed to the rafters with mischief, magic and mammoth laughs.
What starts as just another boring day for George quickly turns into a marvellous experiment of gigantic proportions!
George can’t stand his Grandma. She complains all the time, she’s mean and she smells funny. On this particular day, Grandma is much more annoying than usual and George has had enough.
Wanting to teach her a lesson and put an end to her constant nagging, George concocts a special medicine, greater than any medicine in the history of medicines. What he doesn’t expect is that this medicine may actually work; just not in the way he thinks it will.
Suitable for ages 6 to 106 (Grandparents beware!), Director Ross Balbuziente is thrilled to bring another iconic Roald Dahl work to life.

“Our aim to is get kids (of all ages) to laugh as hard as they ever have before; after all - laughter is the best medicine.
“It’s a rocketing, surprised-filled, hilarious adventure featuring some our country’s best physical and comic actors.” said Mr Balbuziente.
The national tour kicks off in April and visits 34 locations across all Australian states and territories. The 2018 tour is managed by arTour, and is supported by Australia Council and Arts Queensland.
