Snap up a bargain or just enjoy the music, food and community atmosphere at the Avalon Car Boot Sale on Saturday 21 January, from 8am.

Northern Beaches Council is organising the event and Andy Davies, Acting Deputy General Manager said that with more than 40 stallholders, it will be a shopper's and bargain hunter's paradise.

"We've all heard the stories about people finding unexpected gems at car boot sales so come along and find a treasure or pre-loved bargain. Events like car boot sales support the environment by encouraging people to reuse and recycle goods which in turn reduces items being sent to landfill," Mr Davies said.

The car boot sale has previously seen plenty of household goods, retro and vintage items, collectables, sports gear, designer fashion and baby items. There will also be live music and free kids face painting.

As well as grabbing a bargain, visitors to the January car boot sale can grab a sausage sandwich and drink from Avalon Soccer Club who is raising money for their Club.

Bookings for the Autumn Car Boot Sale stalls are open now and filling fast. For more information and visit pittwater.nsw.gov.au.
