Council is pleased to announce Twenty-Six Seconds, a collaborative exhibition that explores the Earth’s rhythms through sound, light and pigment. The exhibition is led by the 2025 Eramboo Artist Residency recipient, Susie Dureau at Eramboo Artist Environment in Terrey Hills from 23 to 27 July 2025.

Contemporary artist Susie was joined by 2 artists, a musician, a sonographer and a scientist as they captured stimulating moments of the Eramboo landscape and nearby in a Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. The resulting ultrasound recordings and sonographs inspired the paintings on exhibition.

Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said don’t miss this impressive, yet short-running exhibition.

"Our stunning natural surroundings continue to inspire; Twenty-Six Seconds is a wonderful example of this inspiration and should not be missed.

"This exhibition is a testament to the visionary collaboration of artists and scientists, capturing the very essence of our environment.

“We are incredibly proud to support such innovative projects that not only showcase artistic talent but also deepen our connection to the natural world," said Mayor Sue Heins.

The exhibition name, Twenty-Six Seconds is derived from the phenomenon discovered through seismometers in the 1960s that the Earth has a pulse occurring every 26 seconds.

Exhibition participants: Susie Dureau, Marisabel Gonzalez, Mackenzie Russell, Ringo
Taylor-Cross, Harley Rimmer and Reuben Brown.
