Northern Beaches Council’s ‘Creative Space’ gallery at 105 Abbott Road, North Curl Curl is proud to present the much-anticipated second installment ‘WATER’ in its ‘Four Elements’ series of exhibitions.

Presented as part of the Art Month festival, ‘WATER’ explores the theme of ‘water- aqua’ as interpreted by twenty-nine respected artists, including renowned photographer Paola Talbert (‘Cerulean Rapture’), collaborative sculptors Penny Polkinghorne and Prudence Smith (‘The Big Sea’), respected landscape painter Mandy Pryse-Jones (“Port hole series No 1-9”) and sculptor Sallie Portnoy (‘Life is but a Dream’) among other established and up-and-coming artists.

Exhibition Curator and Northern Beaches Council Arts & Cultural Development Officer Alicia Terry said the dynamic exhibition highlights the wide range of media and genres being employed in the visual arts.

“We received more than 120 high-quality applications for ‘WATER’. It was a difficult selection process but very productive, resulting in an unusually eclectic and inclusive exhibition.

“The Creative Space provides an ideal platform to showcase the cultural vibrancy on the Northern Beaches and this exhibition addresses themes related to the environment and landscape, which are always salient topics to the community living in this beautiful part of Sydney,” Ms Terry said.

Offbeat Jazz ensemble will perform on Sunday, 19 March from 2-3pm, who have composed four musical movements responding to the ‘Four Elements’.

‘WATER’ will be showing until 26 March and the next exhibition in the installation will be ‘AIR’.

Creative Space will be calling on artists soon to responds to the third installment ‘AIR’ of ‘Four Elements’ series.

The Creative Space is opened seven-days-a-week, from 10am to 4pm and 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
