Following the Matildas breathtaking win over France in the quarter-final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 over the weekend, Northern Beaches Council will open Cromer Park on Wednesday night to screen the semi-final; ensuring the community can come together to cheer the team on.

The Matildas will face England in the next clash on Wednesday 16 August at Stadium Australia, kicking off at 8:00pm.

Cromer Park gates will open at 7pm, families and friends are welcome to bring their picnic rugs. A reminder

  • Wear flat shoes (no heels).
  • No glass or dogs allowed. Service animals are permitted.
  • Pack a picnic as limited food will be available on site.
  • Please take your rubbish with you when you leave.

Northern Beaches Mayor, Cr Sue Heins says this is a great opportunity for all the fans on the beaches to watch the match in a community atmosphere.

“This is a truly a unique experience that we all want to share together, so I encourage everyone to come along to Cromer Park with their picnic rug for a night we will never forget.

“The match is already a sell out and this site will give our community a chance to come together to support our amazing Matildas.” Mayor Heins said.

Cromer Park, located on South Creek Road, Cromer is one of the Northern Beaches premier sporting facilities and home to the Manly Warringah Football Association and Manly United Football Club.
