Sporting clubs across the beaches have received a major cash boost to build better facilities and infrastructure.

Council has awarded $100,000 worth of grants to eight clubs and not-for-profit organisations in the latest round of Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Grants.

“We love our local sporting clubs and we want them to have the best possible facilities for their players and members,” Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan said.

“Whether it be new solar panels on the clubhouse, lighting upgrades to maximise play time, better toilets or just new BBQ facilities to cook-up some snags after the weekend match, these are all important upgrades that our community deserves.

“We are proud to play our part in supporting our local clubs and their members through our Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Grants.”
