Council will hold an information session on Thursday 27 June 2024 for anyone interested in running in this year’s local government election.

Potential candidates will hear what it’s like to serve on council, the role of a councillor and the next steps to register as a candidate. You will also have a chance to ask questions.

The next election for Northern Beaches Council will be held on Saturday 14 September 2024.

Our council is made up of 15 councillors who serve a four-year term.

Three candidates are elected for each of the five wards – Pittwater, Frenchs Forest, Manly, Curl Curl and Narrabeen, as seen in our ward map

Council encourages candidates from diverse cultural backgrounds, ages and genders, to ensure elected representation is an accurate reflection of our community.
