Northern Beaches Council in partnership with the Manly Business Chamber will hold the first ‘Manly Street Sale’ on Saturday 2 November (9am to 5pm).

The sale, which will run the length of the Corso, will give retailers across Manly the opportunity to showcase their products in special stalls along the street.

Mayor Michael Regan said the sale is part of a strategy to boost retail in Manly and to attract shoppers.

“Foot traffic in retail is very important. This initiative is about drawing people away from their iPhones and online shopping to experiencing the real thing, and in the process supporting Manly businesses.

“Whether it be finding out more about a particular product or bagging a bargain, we believe the sale has something for everyone. Make a day of it: come down for the sale, have some morning or afternoon tea, or lunch at one of Manly’s superb cafes or restaurants.”

On the day, there will be live music, face painting for children and much more.
