New multi-purpose hard courts are ready for the community to enjoy as part of a new recreation space at Winnererremy Bay Park, Mona Vale.

The new hard courts have been designed in consultation with the local community and are suitable for a range of sports, including basketball, netball, handball and pickleball.

Council has also preserved open grassed areas and planted new shade trees, adding extra benefits for all.

The upgrade not only increases the opportunities for active recreation but also improves the overall aesthetics and functionality of the area.

The project is part of Council's broader Let’s Play! Open Space and Outdoor Recreation Strategy to invest in local infrastructure and promote active lifestyles.

The works are funded in part by a NSW Government grant and Northern Beaches Council.

Each court includes a crossfall at the hoop locations for effective drainage while maintaining playability and to facilitate the transition between the courts and the existing pathway, the design incorporates a minor swale. You’ll find full details of the project and final plan on our Your Say webpage.
