For the second year in a row Cricket NSW has awarded Frank Gray Oval the best ground of the year for the lower grades in the Sydney Shires competition.  

Competition was fierce with 12 other ovals in the competition, judged by the umpires across four categories: pitch performance, pitch condition, outfield, and markings and maintenance.  

Warringah Cricket Club expressed appreciation to the Green Option team for all the hard work and dedication to ensure the grounds are playable to a high standard and to the Northern Beaches Council team for their support.  

Congratulations to all those involved in maintaining the Frank Gray Oval to an award-winning standard. 

This important recreational area recently received AFL upgrades and a new amenities facility to support more female participation in sport will be opened in September this year.
