Northern Beaches Council is expected to open the entrance of Narrabeen Lagoon this morning following heavy rainfall overnight. 

The lagoon is normally opened when levels are between 1m and 1.3m above sea level. The lagoon is now at 1.1m above sea level and heavy machinery is being moved to the entrance to open the lagoon.

Mona Vale and Warriewood received the heaviest falls with one in ten year rainfall in some locations overnight.
