We are looking at how we can make our town centres, villages and streets across the Northern Beaches better places to work and play, and we’re starting with Avalon.

We are also implementing  new and inspiring ways to engage with our community, particularly those who we don’t always reach.

We have partnered with PLACESCORE a ‘place experience’ measurement platform to conduct a series of online and face-to-face surveys over the next month in Avalon so we can understand what makes a place special.

The ‘Care Factor’ survey is aimed at identifying attributes and physical characteristics the community think make our centres more enjoyable places to be so we can factor them into our planning.

The survey will only take around five minutes and is open until Sunday 24 June

This is the first step of a broader engagement process with the Avalon community.

We are also planning a series of visioning workshops over the coming months, online activities and establishing a Community Reference Group (CRG) to inform the development of an Avalon Place Plan. Nominations for the CRG will be open through May and June.

Our aim is to develop a plan for Avalon with the Avalon community that captures and reflects the aspirations of our community and sets out a program of enhancements that will make Avalon an even more special place.
