Rowing
Julia first represented Australia in 1999 at the Nations Cup in Hamburg, Germany, placing 6th in the Under 23 Women’s Quadruple Sculls. Selected for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, she competed in the Women’s Quadruple Sculls, finishing 7th.
In 2001, Julia won two gold medals at the World Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland –in the Women’s Four and Women’s Eight. She continued to compete at World Championships through to 2003, winning silver in the Women’s Eight in Seville, Spain in 2002.
Julia also represented Australia at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, finishing 6th in the Women’s Eight.
Now living on the Northern Beaches, she’s a member of Manly Surf Life Saving Club and competes in ocean swimming at national level.
