Manly Dam is a precious area of urban bushland that’s rich in biodiversity and beauty. Some of Australia's top ecologists survey, monitor and record the amazing flora and fauna that calls this place home. Come along to hear them explain why they think this local area is so special.

This walk & talk is led by Jenny Zvolanek, Powerful Owl Project Officer. The Powerful Owl Project monitors Powerful Owl breeding in bushland in Greater Sydney. Over the past 10 years, there’s been sightings closer to the city, even in the Botanic Gardens. Over the last 11 years, they’ve monitored more than 260 Powerful Owl territories, collecting data to help land managers look after the birds on their patch.
