The Deep North: where culture meets coastline

Come on a journey of discovery to The Deep North, a three-day festival celebration of Avalon's creative spirit.

Set against our incredible coastline and steeped in the rich culture of the Gadigal people, The Deep North showcases local talent alongside headliners. Catch internationally renowned acts, including:

  • Indigenous composer William Barton
  • Jazz master James Morrison
  • Novelist Geraldine Brooks, in conversation with Bob Brown
  • Find a secret lane rave
  • Workshops such as drumming or Himalayan breathwork

Drop in to local retailers for live art installations, tastings and more. This inspiring and accessible long weekend of music, film, literature, art and community is multi-generational, multi-cultural and 70% free. It is a love letter to our peninsula: relaxed yet refined, artistic but grounded, humble AND world-class. The program has now launched and tickets are now on sale. You're invited to join us...

On November 8 we will announce the crown jewel - a secret headliner supported by up and coming local legend Tilli Kay.
