Northern Beaches Council is encouraging community groups to be part of a thriving community space at the new Warriewood Community Centre, set to open in 2026.
When the doors open early next year this new modern facility with its adaptable spaces will be a dynamic community hub able to cater to a wide variety of activities, including meetings, dance and exercise classes, art workshops, recreation activities, children’s programs, support groups and more.
Mayor Sue Heins said the new centre represents a major step forward in supporting the diverse needs of the Northern Beaches’ growing population.
“With state-of-the-art, multi-purpose halls and rooms, we're providing a flexible space where local groups, clubs, and individuals can come together to learn, play, socialise, create, and support one another.
“We anticipate high demand for this unique community asset, so whether you’re launching a new class, expanding your activities, hosting a function or simply searching for a vibrant, modern venue now is the time to put forward your expression of interest as a founding hirer of the Warriewood Community Centre.”
“Like the other 37 Northern Beaches Council community centres, these new spaces are offered at subsidised rates, ensuring accessibility for local groups who are the foundation of community life,” Mayor Heins said
In addition to being an outstanding community hub, the new Warriewood Community Centre has been designed with sustainability and innovation at its core, so it will also serve as an Emergency and Recovery Centre for the community in times of crisis.
Visit the Community Centres page on the Council website for more about the new Warriewood Community Centre and the other Community Centres, including layouts and how to submit an Expression of Interest or make a one-off booking.
