We’re thrilled to celebrate Ivy D, a talented Year 3 poet from the Northern Beaches who recently won a national haiku competition! 

Ivy’s witty and heartfelt poem impressed judges, including acclaimed poet Maxine Beneba Clarke, and earned her a surprise box of children’s books which arrived at Warringah Mall Library out of the blue. After a little mystery and a story in our previous newsletter, Ivy and her family connected with us, and Mayor Heins presented her with a certificate of thanks. 

Ivy’s achievement not only showcases her creativity but also supports our community by sharing the joy of reading. What an achievement Ivy – your words have literally brightened our shelves!
