Law Week is held every year in May to promote community awareness and understanding of the law, the legal system and the legal profession.

For this week, your local library would normally host a range of events but we are unable to due to current circumstances. To ensure Law Week is still recognised, the State Library of New South Wales have collated the below resources to help you learn about the law from home.

Getting legal help during Covid-19

If you need help with an issue as a result of Covid-19, these organisations may be able to help. You can search for issues relating to employment, renting, health, finances and more.

Podcasts and webinars

You can listen to podcasts or watch webinars that discuss a range of legal topics, thanks to Legal Aid NSW.

Books about the law

This collection of online books can help answer everyday questions about the law.

All NSW residents can become a member of the State Library for free. You can register online and your library card will be sent to you.
