NAIDOC Week I 2 - 9 July 2023

NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about and celebrate First Nations cultures and histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The 2023 theme is For Our Elders.

Join us at the library this NAIDOC Week for the following programs:
 

NAIDOC Week Planetarium at Dee Why
Wednesday 5 July, 10 – 10.45am at Dee Why Library

Explore Indigenous Australian astronomy and find out how Indigenous cultures describe constellations.

NAIDOC Week: Art Workshop with Jude Jarrett
Wednesday 5 July, 6.15 – 8pm at Manly Creative Library

Join Indigenous artist, Jude Jarrett, for an Aboriginal art workshop and learn more about the well-known art form of dot painting, the use of symbols and the stories held in each individual artwork.

NAIDOC Week Film Screening at Manly
Thursday 6 July, 2 – 3.30pm at Manly Library

Come along to enjoy a free screening of this Australian comedy starring Geoffrey Rush, Ernie Dingo, Jessica Mauboy and Deborah Mailman.
