Premier's Reading Challenge
The Premier's Reading Challenge is an initiative of the NSW State government that aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students. All NSW students in Kindergarten to Year 9 are eligible. The library collection includes lots of Premier’s Reading Challenge titles. They are labelled so you can find them easily.
The Premier's Reading Challenge runs from March to August and is for NSW students from Kindergarten to Year 9. The 2019 challenge will open on 4 March.
The Summer Reading Club
The Summer Reading Club’s mission is to encourage a continued love of reading and ongoing multi-literacy skills development in children and young people during the summer holidays. Students of all ages love the great book suggestions and fun activities!
The Summer Reading Club runs nationwide from December to February.
Young Writers' Competition
Young Writers' Competition is an annual event run by Northern Beaches Libraries. Students are encouraged to write an original story with a special theme for a chance to be a published author in a Library eBook. The Competition is open to students up to and including Year 12.
