Syzygium paniculatum

This small sized rainforest tree grows to 8m tall. The bark is flaky and the leaves are shiny, dark-green above and paler underneath. The deep magenta fruits, which may be spherical or egg-shaped, mature in May, and contain a single seed. 

This species is listed as Endangered under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act, 2016 and Vulnerable under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act, 1999.
