Northern Beaches Council is excited to deliver the 16th annual Sun Run, an iconic event offering participation to all fitness levels taking place on Saturday 31 January.
Participants can challenge themselves to a 7km or 10km fun run along the spectacular Northern Beaches coastline from Dee Why to Manly Beach.
Mayor Sue Heins is encouraging people to take advantage of the early bird offer for Sun Run 2026, with 10,000 people expected to join in next year’s event.
“Sun Run is a highlight on the Northern Beaches calendar and early registration is strongly encouraged,” Mayor Sue Heins said.
“It’s more than just a race - it’s a celebration of community, fitness and the stunning natural beauty of our coastline.
“The popular event has sold out for the past 3 years, so register early to ensure you don’t miss out.”
Early bird entries open today (Monday 3 November) and participants can save up to $20 if they register before Thursday 20 November.
The 10km race starts at 6.30am, followed by the 7km at 7.30am.
“Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just out for a fun morning with friends and family, this event is for you,” Mayor Heins said.
“Next year’s Sun Run aims to raise $100,000 for charities across Australia, which would be a fantastic achievement.
“We’re proud to deliver such an inclusive and uplifting event that brings people together and showcases the best of the Northern Beaches.”
Sun Run is produced by Northern Beaches Council and proudly supported by event partners The Athlete’s Foot, Optus, Harbord Diggers, Muscle Republic, Harris Farm Markets and Remedy Sodaly.
