Shaun made his Olympic debut at the Paris 2024 games, alongside teammate Jim Colley, finishing 15^th overall. 

He started sailing aged 4 and racing aged 6 on Pittwater and Sydney Harbour. His first competition on an international stage was the 2011 Singapore Opti Nationals and he has continued to compete in international sailing competitions since then. 

The race Shaun is most proud of occurred at the 2023 Hyeres Regatta, France, leading into the Paris 2024 Olympics. Jim was sick, almost to the point where they had to withdraw from the competition. However, as a team, they managed to turn it round, taking home the silver medal.
