We don't know about you but we're keeping our new year's resolutions a little closer to home this year. If you're thinking the same thing, why not make your local library a bigger part of your 2021?

Here are our suggestions for your new year library resolutions:

Make sure your account is up to date

You can view and update your personal details by logging into your online account. If your account is about to expire, you will receive an email from us with instructions on how to renew. As always, please ask staff on your next visit or contact us with any questions regarding your library membership.

Get to know our digital side

Access your local library anywhere by downloading the Northern Beaches Library app. You can renew or reserve items, search the collection, check out your own items, browse the eLibrary and more.

We also have thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines in the collection. Search for an author or title through our catalogue and look out for Electronic Resource in your search results.

Attend an online event

Keep an eye on our What’s On page for events you can attend from home. Coming soon is an author talk with Sydney author Andrew Pippos as he discusses his debut novel Lucky’s for the inaugural statewide reading program, NSW reads.

Be creative

There’s always an opportunity to explore your creative side with your local library. This month, we are launching two new creative programs – a Kids Art Show and a Young Scriptwriters Competition. Our Click & Create program will also continue in 2021 with a new themed kit coming soon.

Read

If there’s one thing we will always be able to do, regardless of what's happening in the world, its reading.
