Northern Beaches Council has extended the community consultation period for the Draft Mona Vale Place Plan.

Council Administrator Dick Persson made the decision at last Saturday's meeting on the 29 October, which 150 members of the community attended.

"I was impressed that so many residents took time out of their weekend to share their views," Mr Persson said.

"Hearing the opinions and feedback of the community is a very important part of the process, and so I have extended the deadline for public exhibition and submissions on the plan by one month, to Friday 16 December at 5pm.

"Given the draft Place Plan is an extensive and detailed document about shaping the Mona Vale of the future, I believe there's a lot for the community to digest, and it's important to allow further time for them to do this."

The Draft Mona Vale Place Plan is also available to view, and residents are encouraged to make submissions in writing – either by email, letter or facsimile by Friday 16 December, 2016 at 5pm.
