Photographer Louise Whelan has documented the construction and evolution of architect, Peter Stutchbury’s Indian Head House at Avalon Beach - the “tough building with soft edges”. Over three years, Louise witnessed Peter’s daily design drawings come into being. Working collaboratively, Louise and Peter use photographs, words, and music to create an experimental film that is a living portrait of the house.
Louise’s artistic practice has drawn inspiration from environmental and humanitarian issues. Her current interest in the aesthetics of memory is explored through this poetic exhibition.
