Do you have a special story about riding the merry-go-round at Manly Fun Pier, learning to swim in Manly Harbour Pool, or visiting Manly Sea Life Sanctuary?

We’re inviting yourself, family and friends to come along and share these stories.

In celebration of Manly Arts Festival, join us along West Esplanade, Manly Cove, from Manly Wharf to Manly Art Gallery & Museum, for a special program of events celebrating the diverse local heritage of Manly Esplanade. Experience colourful art installation by Sydney-based artist Francesca Mataraga that reflects the vibrancy of Manly Fun Pier, a pop-up story telling booth, Devonshire tea, live music and free activities.

  • 10am – 1pm: Tea time - Recreated in the style of the Manly Pavilion Tearooms of yesteryear, enjoy a cup a Devonshire tea with all the trimmings, baked fresh by Manly Country Women’s Association (CWA). $7 per person.
  • 10am - 3pm: Lawn games - Grab a treat from the CWA bake sale and enjoy a picturesque picnic by the beachside complete with live music and lawn games including giant jenga, giant wooden noughts & crosses, giant dominoes and quoits.
  • 10am – 3pm: Storypod – A pop-up story-telling booth where you can drop-in and record your own stories of Manly Cove.

Our Stories: Yesterday | Today | Tomorrow is a special program of events that offer creative perspectives, exploring the fascinating heritage of three locations across the Northern Beaches. Experience the heritage and uniqueness of each location with a range of art installations, family-friendly activities, tours, performances and art-making workshops.
