We are lucky enough to share the Northern Beaches with some marvellous marine life who have rather unusual adaptations to help them survive. The rock platform is home to a plethora of these creatures.
Join us for a day of investigation and discovery on the rock platform. Our day will involve exploring North Narrabeen rock pools and Narrabeen beach. We will also spend time at the CEC examining some adaptations under the microscope and answering questions such as how do they camouflage? Can they produce ink and who dissolves their prey?
The program is suitable for children aged between 6 and 12 years.
Kids on the Coast is a Northern Beaches Council school holiday program.
It is run at the Coastal Environment Centre and delivered by qualified education staff.
