Glass Blowing Intensive - 2 days

This beginner’s workshop is the perfect way to discover the excitement of working with hot glass and join in the fascinating foray into the mysteries of the age-old art form of glass blowing. The workshop explores the basics of glassblowing and is aimed at beginners wishing to learn at the furnace.

Students will learn how to gather and marver, shape and blow glass and how to use the appropriate tools through basic exercises and practice. Use of colour will also be explored.

Students usually end up with 2-4 pieces: a paperweight, tumbler, small vase or bowl.

Workshops are limited to four or five students for safety and to cater to individual needs/experience.

No experience is required.

2 day workshop. Choose from:

  • Mon 16 & Tue 17 September, 10am-4pm  OR
