'Expect Respect', our free six-week, women’s support / psychoeducation group will be starting at our Northern Beaches service on Tue 2 May and North Shore on Thurs 4 May for women who are living with or have experienced domestic abuse, in its myriad of forms.

The program has been running for several years and has some free childcare spots.

• Proven to help women distinguish between relationship issues and abuse.
• Create awareness that domestic abuse is more than physical abuse and service supports available.
• How to access support safely.
• Explores factors that may keep someone in a relationship with an abusive partner.
• Enables women to gain practical and emotional support, in and out of the group setting.
• Explores triggers, self-care, how to build assertiveness and set healthy boundaries.
• Builds self-awareness of her needs and her children’s needs (if applicable).

Free childcare is available but must be booked in advance.
