Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises Pty Ltd (Kimbriki) is an innovative waste and recycling centre on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The Kimbriki site receives over 313,000 tonnes of waste annually, with close to 80% currently being recycled into products such as mulch and gravels. Kimbriki is owned by Northern Beaches Council (96%) and Mosman Council (4%) and works with its community, stakeholders, employees, partners and the waste industry to deliver and promote efficient services that reduce waste to landfill and increase resource recovery.
Kimbriki aims to be a centre of excellence for environmental services associated with the generation of waste and to provide education to the community.
Kimbriki's Buy Back Centre provides customers with an opportunity to buy items recovered from landfill for re-use. You can find all sorts of items at the Buy Back Centre such as building materials, furniture, fencing, doors, windows, bathtubs, kitchen sinks, tiles, books, bicycles (for spare parts), skis, surfboards and more. Visit the centre to see what's in stock, or call 0420 803 521 to enquire about a particular stock item. Kimbriki's aim is to provide a better source of re-used and re-purposed materials to help everyone in the community to be part of our recycling vision!
Former Pittwater Community Arts Incorporated
Pittwater Community Arts Incorporated (PCA) existed in response to a need in the former Pittwater Local Government Area for artists networking within the community. The PCA invested considerable time, energy and love into assisting established artists and developing artists through a wide range of events, exhibitions, workshops and networking functions. It seeked to promote artists and cultural events to the community as a whole, as well as attract visitors from outside the community. With a membership of approximately 200, and in a volunteer capacity with a very dedicated committee, they addressed many cultural and artistic events in Pittwater for more than thirteen years. The PCAs legacy is a trust fund which will go towards encouraging Young Artists.
