Here you’ll find a range of creative learning programs, including the fortnightly life drawing studio. Hone your artistic skills through our masterclasses with professional artists. Learn through hands-on activities, to create your own work inspired by pieces currently on exhibition. Children can also explore their creativity through regular Art Adventure and school holiday workshops.

School Holidays Creative Workshops

Tue 9 October 2018, 10am-12pm or 2-4pm

Cost: $30, materials and refreshments included

Explore the celebrated art of Reg Mombassa and Peter O’Doherty whose allegorical landscapes and suburban scenes have helped shaped our views of Australia. Artist Helen Earl will guide you through the creation of drawings and collages inspired by our built environment.

For young people aged 6 - 12 years.

$25 per session (materials and refreshments included)

Hands-on workshop at the MAG&M inspire kids aged 5–11 to learn about photomontage, printmaking, sculpture, illustration and painting. Children are inspired through engaging with a range of exciting artists and artworks, learning about different art forms and mediums, and taking home a creation of their own.

Want to build confidence and practise your creative skills? MAG&M Society runs a regular evening life drawing studio that is open to all, at any level of drawing skill. Mingle and make new friends over refreshments during the half-time break.
