GLAM – LGBTIQA+ Youth Support Group
GLAM is a social support group for young people aged 12 to 21 of diverse genders and sexualities. It provides a sense of belonging, an enjoyable space to socialise and learn about the LGBTQIA+ community, build up trust, respect and friendships, have fun, and access support if needed.
What Can I Expect?
GLAM provides an environment that is nonjudgmental as well as physically and emotionally safe. You can discuss issues that are important to you, make friends, be yourself and have fun.
What Happens in the Group?
The group meets one week night a fortnight and has a social and educational focus. On a social level, the group gets out and about for dinner, coffee and movies. The group also participates in planning events and exploring issues on relationships, making connections, sexuality and coming out.
How Can I Make Contact?
For more information about GLAM please email the Youth & Services Team with the subject ‘I want to know more about GLAM’ and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you’re interested in attending.
