Permanent Water Fountains

Council has installed new water fountains across the Northern Beaches so you can fill up your reusable bottle while you are out and about - no need to buy a disposable water bottle.

Permanent water fountains have been installed at the following locations:

  • Dunbar Park, Avalon
  • Coastal Environment Centre, North Narrabeen
  • Governor Philip Park, Palm Beach 
  • North Narrabeen Reserve
  • Lakeside Park, North Narrabeen
  • Bilarong Reserve, North Narrabeen
  • Warriewood Valley Sportsground
  • Careel Bay Playing Fields, Avalon
  • James Meehan Reserve, Dee Why
  • Frenchs Forest Showground
  • David Thomas Reserve, Manly Vale
  • John Fisher Park, North Curl Curl
  • Gilbert Park, Manly

Installed in partnership with Reserves, Sydney Water and Cricket NSW:

  • Kitchener Park, Mona Vale (Cricket NSW)
  • Weldon Oval, Curl Curl (Cricket NSW)
  • Newport Beach
  • Freshwater Beach
  • Avalon Beach
  • Terrey Hills Oval
  • Tania Park, Seaforth
  • Beacon Hill Oval

To be installed in July 2018 funded by the Better Waste and Recycling Fund:

  • Ararat Reserve, Frenchs Forest
  • Manly Oval
  • Village Park, Mona Vale

Pavement artwork has also been installed at each new fountain to bring home the message to reduce single use plastics.

Portable Water Fountains

Council also has mobile water stations for Council events where we track the number of litres consumed and calculate how many bottles did not go to landfill.
