Road Maintenance Updates

Tuesday 16 December
Short term works have been undertaken to provide stabilisation to the road and further investigations are underway to determine a long term solution. Portable traffic lights and other traffic management remain in place to allow resident safe access and alternate single lane traffic flow. 

Tuesday 9 December, 4pm
Portable traffic lights and other traffic management put in place to allow alternate single lane traffic flow. Geotechnical assessments of the slip area and surrounding site continue to ensure safety for the community and establish a plan to make repairs.

Tuesday 9 December, 10am - 4pm
Ausgrid closed the road to all traffic so they could relocate power supply for the homes that were impacted.

Sunday 7 December
A landslip occurred on the opposite side of the road to 139 McCarrs Creek Road, Church Point. Emergency services and geotechnical engineers attended the site to assess the situation, and the road was initially closed for safety reasons. Following engineering advice, the road was reopened to traffic under single-lane conditions, with traffic control in place.
