One Northern Beaches Council created a unique opportunity to truly connect our villages, towns and centres to unite the Northern Beaches community and promote lifestyle and recreation. As a direct result of the new Council creation, removing administrative boundaries has enabled a decades old dream to be realised.

The centrepiece of this project is an iconic 36km continuous coastal walkway linking Palm Beach to Manly together with cycleways and shared paths linking north and south, east and west.

This corridor will also showcase the spectacular coastline and views from some of Sydney’s most beautiful vantage points as well as the diversity of the region’s history.

Connecting through walking and cycling, the project includes 14km of new off-road shared paths and a new Palm Beach Walkway from the Palm Beach Ferry to Beach Road. Also a new shared pathway behind Mona Vale golf course and improvements to the existing pathway from Dee Why headland to North Curl Curl. It also features 36km of new cycleways and shared paths connecting north-south an east-west, that link to B-Line transport hubs and services.

Take a look at our Connecting Northern Beaches brochure for more information and see where works are up to on our interactive map.
