About Code Club
This is an introduction to coding for kids aged 7-14 that uses project based learning and step-by-step activities to teach the key concepts of programming.
We will be running the sessions on weekdays for one hour from 3.45pm to 4.45pm. This will be run as a single program over 10 weeks and will be happening at all the library branches. This involves a two hour per week commitment for 10 weeks from the volunteers which includes additional 30 minutes each before and after the sessions.
Each weekly sessions will be run by a pair of volunteers who will be given;
- Sufficient tuition/training before the program starts
- The content and format for delivering the program
To express your interest in becoming a volunteer, please complete a Student Volunteer Interest Application Form. Please ensure your form has been signed by a parent/guardian and send it via email or drop it off at your local library branch. Our Youth Librarian will be in contact upon receipt of your application.
