Instagram History Week Winners Shine Light on Best of the Northern Beaches
The modern heritage of the Northern Beaches has been celebrated with the announcement of the winners of the Northern Beaches Council History Week photo competition.
Mayor Michael Regan said the level of interest from the community was thrilling.
“With more than 900 entries, it shows how passionate our community is about the heritage of our wonderful home.
“This will be a great legacy for the future as it adds to the layers of our rich heritage. I encourage the community to come and see the entries,” Mayor Regan said.
An exhibition of the top 140 images will be on display at the six Northern Beaches Libraries as part of a roving exhibition beginning at Mona Vale, Dee Why and Manly Libraries until Christmas.
The four winners each received a $200 prize.
