While our library branches have had to close their doors, we’ll still be keeping you entertained, with our contactless delivery service, Library2U.

Days in lockdown look a little brighter with items from our Library collection such as books, DVDs, CDs and more delivered direct to your home.

Please note, you must reside in the Northern Beaches Council Local Government Area and hold a current library membership.

To make borrowing through Library2U even easier, why not download our Library app? It's a great way to keep track of your loans, renew items, browse the eLibrary and much more.

Library2U has two different ways to borrow:

Your Choice

Your Choice allows you to reserve items of your choosing from the library catalogue. This is our normal reservation process and we'll organise your items for delivery.

  1. Search the catalogue
  2. Click on the book or item/s you'd like.
  3. Click 'place reservation' button next to the item/s.
  4. Login using your library card and pin (please note, if you haven't changed your pin it is likely to be the day and month of your birthday)
  5. Confirm your reservation.
  6. Sit back and relax. Your delivery will be with you soon.

Five items may be requested at a time and will be loaned for three weeks.

If you would like to request children's picture books or board books, please use the Librarian's Choice option below. Individual reservations are currently not available for these items.

Librarian's Choice

To meet the incredible demand we’ve seen with Library2U, our Librarian’s Choice option has been expanded for all ages, not just children’s books.

Tell us your preferred genre or what you’re interested in by filling in our form below and let our librarians choose for you. It’s a great little surprise during lockdown and can broaden your reading and viewing experiences!

Through either request you choose, we will contact you when your item is ready for delivery.

Returning library items

Please hold onto the items we deliver to you and stay safe at home.

When the lockdown orders are lifted, you can return your items to your closest branch.
