In line with current NSW health orders, all library branches (excluding the community libraries) will reopen on Monday 11 October. Please see Council's COVID-19 information pages for the latest on changes to other Council services.
We have a COVID-19 safety plan in place to protect the health and safety of our visitors and staff. Please read through the conditions of entry before your visit.
While our staff will be ready to help, we encourage you to utilise our self-service options for borrowing using the library app or kiosks. We also have self-service options for printing, scanning and photocopying.
Library2U will return to Click and Collect
We’ll be doing last deliveries on Friday 8 October. We will attempt to deliver as many items as we can before the end of Friday.
You’ll be able to Click and Collect from your local branch all reservations placed after 12pm Wednesday 6 October. You will receive an email from us when your items are ready.
This also applies to our Click and Create kits.
Returning your items
Items can be returned through the chutes at all branch locations. Book clubs are also welcome to return their kits in branch from Monday 11 October.
Any items delivered through Library2U will now be due on Monday 1 November, giving you time to return. Please note that overdue fees will restart after this date.
Change to opening hours
All library branches (excluding the community libraries) will operate from 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 1pm on Saturdays from 11 October. You are welcome to stay to read, study or work on our safely distanced furniture during opening hours.
Our eLibrary will continue to be open 24/7 giving you access to endless amount of eMagazines, eBooks and more.
In line with current NSW Health orders, our Justice of the Peace service and meeting rooms will be unavailable. We are also unable to run live programming which includes our children's programs. We encourage you to check out our Story Time playlist on YouTube to sing along safely with familiar faces from the library service.
We hope to resume these services as restrictions allow and appreciate your patience as we work to safely reopen the libraries.
