To comply with current NSW health orders, all library branches (including community libraries) are closed until further notice. Please see Council's COVID-19 information pages for the latest on changes to other Council services.

See below the important information regarding changes to library services:

Library2U is now available for your requests.

We will keep our website updated with information about this service.

This is a contactless delivery service to your home. Please note, you must reside in the Northern Beaches Council Local Government Area and hold a library membership.

Returning library items

If you have library items on loan, please hold onto them and stay safe at home.

When the lockdown orders are lifted, you can return your items to your closest branch.

Extended loans and no fees

We have extended due dates on all loan items (including Read Now, Back in 10 and book club kits) until after 30 July so there will be no fees during this time. Overdue charges have been paused so no fees will accrue while we are closed.

Click and Collect

If you had a Click and Collect item waiting for you at one of our branches, it will not expire. The items will be automatically arranged for delivery to your home. If you no longer require your Click and Collect item, please cancel your request through the library app or by logging into your account online

Access the eLibrary

Remember, you can continue to access a wealth of online resources anywhere, anytime including eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, movies, documentaries, tutorials and more.

While our library branches have had to close their doors, we’ll still be keeping you entertained, with our contactless delivery service, Library2U
