A local mountain bike track has been resurfaced, giving young and beginner riders a smoother, safer loop to practise core skills, build confidence and enjoy more consistent rides.
With the assistance from local mountain biking advocacy and consultancy group Trail Care the track is like new again.
Located in Belrose, Wyatt Avenue Bike Park was built by Council’s own landscape and construction teams with support from Trail Care.
Built 3.5 years ago the park has been extremely popular with local kids before they progress to more challenging trails such as the nearby Bare Creek or trails such as those at Manly Dam.
Wyatt Avenue Bike Park’s features include:
- A junior and beginner bike trail loop, perfect for young ones with little bikes
- Climb and descent sections to test your skills on an incline
- Various technical features such as berms and jumps to advance your skills
- ‘Gravity zone’ features for a downhill experience
- A bike launching area to kick off your runs
- A viewing platform, picnic area, and grassed sections.
Get on your bike and head down to check it out!
