Is your New Year’s resolution to get out there and try new things in 2019?

Our 38 Council community centres have got you covered with over 140 activities to choose from.

Put on your dancing shoes and try out different styles including ballroom, ballet and line dancing or get your hips moving in belly dancing.

Unleash your inner artist with acrylics, watercolour and mixed media, pick up a needle and thread with patchwork and quilting or test out a new skill of ‘throwing’ with pottery classes.

You could even combine more than one New Year’s resolution by trying something new and getting fit with classes in yoga, the Japanese martial art Aikido, pilates, tai chi, Jazzercise and Zumba.

Parlez vous francais? You could with French classes at Mona Vale or if paella and flamenco is more to your taste, enjoy classes in Brookvale.

Open your mind with studies in philosophy or get feedback on your latest novel in a Creative Writing class.

Want to try something really different? How about hula hooping, unicycling or join some strong women for some wheelie fun at roller derby.

There’s something for all ages with plenty of classes for seniors and children too.

Don’t let this be another New Year’s resolution that goes by the wayside!

Our centres also host a number of community groups for people who may be looking for support for issues with alcohol, gambling or for those who have tragically lost a child. To see the full list of groups, read our 2019 program.
