We know many in the community are still without power and cleaning up after the storm this week so we are putting some things in place to help those affected.
Forestville Library & Forest Community Arts Centre
These co-located facilities will be open and staffed today and across the weekend 10am until 5pm to charge phones, use the internet or have a tea or coffee. Other libraries are also open, check the opening hours here.
We are also keeping the Warringah Aquatic Centre open until 9pm tonight and across the weekend for those in need of a hot shower. Just tell them at the desk you’re coming for a shower and they will let you through.
If you have more waste than what can fit in your green bin when cleaning up this weekend, Council will waive the fee for more than 300kg of green waste at Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre for Saturday and Sunday (30 Nov & 1 Dec) - just remember to bring your proof of address.
You can also request we collect it from your kerbside. Call us on 1300 434 434 or log an issue online and leave vegetation debris neatly piled on the kerb.
Tree removal near power lines
If you have trees down near power lines, please contact Ausgrid on 131388. Council is not able to remove them until it is signed off that they are safe.

Check on your neighbours
We have been checking in on our customers of the Home Library Service and Meals on Wheels but if you can also please check on your neighbours – we need to make sure everyone is safe and supported.
Please continue to check the Ausgrid website for information on power outages.
