One of the Northern Beaches’ most popular and spectacular walks is open again with improved access for locals and visitors, following crucial repairs to the Manly to Spit Scenic Walkway.

Walkers can once again enjoy the full length of almost 10km of dramatic clifftops, Aboriginal sites, beautiful harbour beaches and spectacular views that delight both local and international visitors.

Although Council has repaired sections of the walk over the years, several boardwalks and staircases at the Castle Rock and Fisher Bay sections needed to be replaced entirely.

The end result is a brand-new series of stairs and decks that make the climb much easier and nestle into their surroundings.

It’s even more impressive when you consider that all tools and materials for the repairs had to be carried in and out by hand.

While it takes 3 to 4 hours to complete the entire walk at a steady pace, there are numerous entrance points that make it accessible and available for everyone to enjoy.
