Northern Beaches Council is looking for two Northern Beaches marathon runners to take part in the 2018 Senshu International City Marathon being held in Tadaoka (near Osaka, Japan) on 18 February, 2018.

Return airfares from Sydney to Osaka will be paid for by Tadaoka Town Government, along with the costs of accommodation for the two runners while in Japan.

The Senshu International Marathon is one of the major sporting events in Japan, with over 5,000 runners from across the country and overseas.

The marathon takes place in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture, passing through nine cities and four towns.

The successful applicants would be away from Australia from 15 to 20 February 2018 and must be aged 18 and over.

Participants are required to have run at least one marathon before and be Australian citizens.

Applications close Friday 24 November.
