A new community hall overlooking Queenscliff Beach, an upgraded club room and bar, and new lift and stairs are just some features of Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club’s $1.2 million renovation.

The newly refurbished club has now reopened, ready for the wider community to enjoy for many years to come.

The improved facilities will help meet the club’s needs now and in the future, making sure its 1,300 members and lifeguards can continue to keep our community safe.

The renovations include a whole new level for a community hall with a new kitchen, new office and kitchenette, additional storage, and new stairs, flooring, doors, windows and roller shutters.

The building is also more accessible and energy efficient with a new lift, lift lobby, upgraded toilets, solar hot water system and LED lights.

We have also applied a fresh coat of paint, inside and out, to ensure the building looks its best for years to come.

Council and Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club have been working together for many years on this project, which has been funded by Council, the Club and the federal and state governments.

It’s great example of what can be achieved when communities, a local club, and all levels of government work together.
