Northern Beaches Council is proud to present 3 major exhibitions at Manly Art Gallery & Museum (MAG&M), showcasing artists’ connections to nature, our fractured world and the beauty of the night sky.
Opening this month, the distinctive winter program brings together internationally recognised and celebrated Australian artists, offering a rich and immersive cultural experience in the heart of Manly.
The exhibitions include:
- Tamara Dean: Leave only footprints – a powerful photographic and moving image exhibition by one of Australia’s most respected photo media artists, examining themes of ritual, transformation and our relationship with the natural environment.
- Min Wong: You shall definitely pass – a compelling presentation of work by Min Wong, developed during the artist’s residency in Athens and studies in Berlin, unfolding in 2 iterations.
- CEAD Collection Stories: Night Sky – a curated selection of works from the MAG&M Collection, celebrating nocturnal landscapes, celestial themes and the enduring allure of the stars.
Mayor Sue Heins said the breadth of the exhibitions and the subject matter explored reinforces MAG&M’s reputation as a leading cultural destination.
“Manly Art Gallery & Museum continues to deliver high-quality and thought-provoking exhibitions that engage our community and attract visitors to the Northern Beaches,” Mayor Heins said.
“From Min Wong’s internationally inspired practice to Tamara Dean’s evocative exploration of our connection to nature, these exhibitions offer unique perspectives and invite meaningful reflection.
“The inclusion of works from our own collection in Night Sky also provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the depth and richness of MAG&M’s holdings.”
The exhibitions will open with a free public launch event on Friday 12 June from 6pm, with all welcome to attend.
The 3 exhibitions will run from Friday 12 June to Sunday 2 August 2026.
